Nixon Aqulin Simba, Tanzania

Founder & Local Leader

As a child I was living on the street and grew up later in an orphanage. It is my dream to give back to the community, since I have been helped as well. My childhood inspired me to found the Kipepeo Family Foundation. The work I do offers me the opportunity to connect with others, share ideas and make a positive impact.

Joy Baumann, Switzerland

Founder & Leader

I have the privilege to live among the culture in Tanzania and be part of many lives here. I get to learn, understand and empower many people wherever I go. I’d always choose love over hate and try to understand rather than to condemn. I’d say I live a life that is directed by the love that I carry in my heart.

As the scripture says; it is the responsibility of everyone to give hope to those who have lost their own.  I love to have a job where I can empower all kinds of people so they can reach their goals. It makes me happy bring back a smile to those who thought they are forgotten by the society.

Mariamu Mwinyiamiri, Social Worker

I am greatful to be a member of the Kipepeo Family  Foundation, because it enables me to raise my voice  for those that have been denied to raise their own.  Working in unity and together with the local  community is what I aspire. I thank god for the opportunity to do so.

We are thankful for the cooperation of the Moshi Municipal, Social Department and for being granted the trust of many different village leaders and social workers who are based in the surrounding communities. We also exchange ideas and wishes with churches on how or whom to help in their area. Staying connected and working together is necessary to be able to achieve real, long-lasting change. Without our partners, we would not be able to reach out to the families who need our help the most.

Switzerland

Kipepeo Family Foundation gets a high precentage of its donations through the Kipepeo Association which was founded in order to support our NGO. The aim of the Kipepeo Association is to represent Kipepeo in Switzerland, build trust wtih potential donors and engage in fundraising events that are held in Switzerland.
