One part of my family did not want me and the other part who wanted to care for me had no money and lived in a bad environment. I grew up suffering and fighting since I was born. The feeling of not belonging anywhere and suffering due to the lack of money was always with me. When I was six years old, I had to live on the streets. It seemed to be the only option for me at this point. Luckily, one day I was found by one of the NGO`s in Moshi. But even there I sometimes ran away because I wanted to belong to a family and not to an orphanage. It was never good for me to grow up apart from my family. When the social workers left, I stood there alone, and the relationship between my parents and me broke in a way that can never be fixed. I want to empower and educate families so that children don't have to face the same sorrows I once did. I believe if my parents had received support, I would have had a much better childhood. I have lost many friends that lived through similar circumstances. I thank God that there were people who helped me the best they could. I want to do everything to make the life of children here better and believe the way to do this is by empowering their families.

I grew up in a family with loving and caring parents and brother. Due to personal struggles later in my life, I know how it feels to suffer. This is why I wish to give others a chance to live a life full of happiness and confidence. I believe we as humans should share more of our warm heart. Share a smile, a hug, listen to someone or laugh with someone. Sharing life with people who love you means a lot to me. That's what helped me through my own struggles. In a family you are protected and loved. It is an important space to share life's experiences. With our projects, I would love to give everyone the chance to share their life with us and their family.

As the scripture says; it is the responsibility of everyone to give hope to those who have lost their own. Let's join together to enable the inhabitants of Tanzania to reach prosperity and a fulfilled life. I’m inviting everyone to contribute to this organization and be part of bringing happiness again to those who have lost theirs.
I am born in the Kilimanjaro region and am so happy to work now here at Kipepeo, helping different people in need and making them reach John Agustino, Teamleader their goals. I love to have a job where I can bring back a smile to those who thought they are forgotten by the society.
Inspired by a counselor provided counselling to the people who are suffering from HIV/AIDs I got interested to work with a group of people i could give hope to. Although i did not succeeded to study counselling, i did study social work where i learned how to do councelling too. With my knowledge i can work with many different cases that may occure in a community. Some people are suffering from mental health, drug addiction, marriage conflict, others experience different kind of abuse. I believe that if we offer support, the number of people that are left alone in their suffering is reduced. Especially marginalized groups like women, children and elder as well as people with disability and young women are struggeling to grow. Their dreams get denied from their own community and surronding. There are families who don not care due to certain believes or they do not have the ability to care due to a lack of ressources. I give thank to my mother that she has raised her voice on behalf of me so that my father enabled me and my sisters to do an education.
Mariamu Mwinyiamiri, Social Worker I am greatful to be a member of the Kipepeo Family Foundation, because it enables me to raise my voice for those that have been denied to raise their own. Working in unity and together with the local community is what I aspire. I thank god for the opportunity to do so.

The National alliance to strenghten families and family based care
We believe all children in Tanzania should be raised in a caring, supportive and protective family, at all times. Therefore we own a membership of the National Alliance to strengthen Families and Family based care in Tanzania which was founded by UNICEF, Railwaychildren, Pamoja Leo and Safe the Children.

We are thankful for the cooperation of the Moshi Municipal, Social Department and for being granted the trust of many different village leaders and social workers who are based in the surrounding communities. We also exchange ideas and wishes with churches on how or whom to help in their area. Staying connected and working together is necessary to be able to achieve real, long-lasting change. Without our partners, we would not be able to reach out to the families who need our help the most.
Switzerland
Kipepeo Family Foundation gets a high precentage of its donations through the Kipepeo Association which was founded in order to support our NGO. The aim of the Kipepeo Association is to represent Kipepeo in Switzerland, build trust wtih potential donors and engage in fundraising events that are held in Switzerland.
