Hiking Tracks

You choose your own route. We recommend you to consider followings in order to make the best decision:

*Time

The different routs take different time. How many days do you want to spend on Kilimanjaro?

*Budget

Since the National Park fees are about the half of the whole price you pay per day, it is likely that the longer routs are requiering a higher budget. In any case please nod that the prices written underneath are NOT including Tips for Guides and Porters. It is highly recommended to tip. If you book with us we include our tipping suggestions into our offer so you know what you'd have to expect. It is important to us that all assisting people get a fair sallary for the incredible work they do.

*Mental endurence

This is definitly needed in any way if hiking up mount Kilimanjaro. Try to think of your mental ability as well by choosing the best rout for you.

*Phisical health and fitness

Allthough not all trecks are tecnically very difficult you should have climbed mountains before you hike up the Mount Kilimanjaro. Endurance training as well as stabilizing your leg muscles is very helpful by preparing for the hike. Due to the lenght and height of the mountain tracks it is best to prepare well before.

*Altitude

Are you used to higher located places? What is the highest point you've been before? Have you had time to acclimatize in Moshi? Do you know already how your body reacts in higher altitudes? Good Phisical fitness does not necessarily mean that you are able to adapt to the altitude easily. If you don't have experience with it you'd probably like to take one of the routs that has more time to adapt to the height.

*Your Expectations: Is it most important to reach the top? Do you want to enjoy the scenery along the way? Do you wish to walk on sideways, being less crowded? Do you wish to have the highest confort possible? Are you more likely wanting to backpack?
